My latest project for Madam Fandom, or "MF" as I'll say for blog purposes, is getting ready for the "May the 4th Be With You" Community Event & Fundraiser. If you're in the Sacramento area, and love Star Wars, I really suggest you make plans to attend. Not only is there going to be a ton of great Star Wars stuff available to purchase, there will be Cosplayers (501 Legion will be there), a Costume Parade, Charity Auction (for the Make-a-Wish Foundation), Costume Contest, LIVE Lightsaber Battle Demos, Panels, & just lots of good fun.
This event has given me a major push to get some Star Wars added to my line-up. Since I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan, it's the one fandom I've been holding off on. I felt I needed years to work on designs and make them all just perfect to be worthy of Star Wars (yes, I'm that obsessed). But this event came along & required I have Star Wars on hand, so I've found a few worthy patterns and pumped out many creations that I think are worthy additions to the Star Wars fandom!
Here's a peek at just one item that I will be premiering at the event. The finished product will be mounted on black canvas panel. Who doesn't love a Star Wars/Legend of Zelda mash-up?!
Ok ok, how about one more peek! Here's what the Fandom table looks like so far, & this isn't even all of it!
I'd love to see & chat with fans, so make plans to attend the "May the 4th Be With You" Community Event & Fundraiser. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time, or at the door. It's for a good cause!
